Hospital Morning Routines #1

“Goood Maurning! I’m here to get some bloood. Jooni? You up?”
Under my breath or in my head I say: “Nooo, it’s 5 o’clock, it’s too early to be this cheerful. Go awayyyy.” She grabs my hand.
“Looks like someone made pitchers on your hand there”.
“It’s henna.” I’m trying to keep my eyes closed so I can fall back asleep.
“Hannah did it?”
“It’s henna.” Yeah, this sleep thing is not gonna happen.
“Hannah your little grand baby? Hold still now…just a little pinch. Got it!”

But she didn’t really. Thus began my first day in the hospital bed.
